ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina) - The head of the national coordination
committee for the preparation and conduct of elections for Bosnian
citizens in Croatia, Damir Zoric, on Friday rejected objections by
the Croatian branch of the Bosnian Moslem-led Democratic Action
Party (SDA) to the work of his committee.
The SDA issued a statement on Friday accusing the committee of
"election engineering."
"There's not a shred of evidence of any oversight on our part.
When someone makes such allegations then they should furnish
concrete evidence," Zoric told Hina in an interview.
"The national committee has detailed documentation which is
available to anyone," Zoric said, recalling that the mission of the
OSCE representative in Croatia had confirmed on several occasions
that the committee worked in accordance with rules.
As for the objections to the rules, they were "directed to the
wrong address." "We didn't make the rules," he stressed.
"Those who are accusing us of election engineering or exerting
pressure have never documented or reported any such case," Zoric
said.
