SARAJEVO, 20 Aug (Hina) - High officials of the Croatian Democratic Party (HDZ) in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) on Tuesday met in Sarajevo and reached agreement on open issues which had been hampering the cooperation between the two leading parties of the Croat-Muslim Federation. #L# HDZ president in Bosnia-Herzegovina Bozo Raic said after the meeting that the talks had focused on the implementation of the Geneva agreement. Both sides expressed support for the document and readiness to fully implement the Agreed Measures on the transfer of authority to the Federation. Disputable issues should be solved by a special working group. HDZ and SDA officials called on the members of the group to speed up their activities and establish solutions for the complete implementation of the agreement. It was also agreed that all cantonal governments in the Federation as well as transitional municipal councils should be established in those areas where they did not exist, HDZ president Rajic said. The two sides also agreed to harmonize the proposals for the federal flag and coat-of-arms until the next session of the Constituent Assembly. HDZ and SDA officials agreed to solve open questions until the next session and adopt a constitutional amendment on the organization of the Sarajevo Canton on Monday. Today's talks also tackled the establishment of new municipalities and the two sides agreed that one should support requests for changes of municipal borders. HDZ and SDA were ready to secure freedom of movement for the September elections, and see to it that all parties were allowed to carry out their pre-election activities. SDA vice president Edhem Bicakcic said he was 'moderately optimistic' regarding today's meeting and announced that concrete results should be seen in next ten days. Bicakcic announced that his party would hold a pre-election meeting in Capljina on 23 August, adding the SDA could present its program even on the Croat radio Mostar. (hina) rm 202128 MET aug 96
