BELGRADE, Aug 23 (Hina) - The foreign ministers of Croatia and
Yugoslavia, Mate Granic and Milan Milutinovic, closed talks in
Belgrade early Friday afternoon and were expected to sign an
agreement on normalizing relations between their countries after
lunch.
The agreement provides for mutual recognition within
internationally recognized borders and the establishment of full
diplomatic relations between the countries.
According to diplomatic sources, the agreement is crucial
for future relations between Croatia and Yugoslavia and for the
stabilization of the situation in the entire region.
Granic also held talks with Yugoslav Prime Minister Radoje
Kontic.
