BELGRADE, 23 Aug (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic arrived Friday in Belgrade where he is to sign an Agreement on the normalisation of relations between Croatia and Yugoslavia with his Yugoslav counterpart Milan Milutinovic. #L# A Croatian government plane with Croatian officials aboard landed at Belgrade airport at 9:20 am. The Croatian delegation, led by Granic, was welcomed by Nikola Cicanovic, aide to the Yugoslav Foreign Minister. The Croatian delegation then visited the Croatian Government Office in Belgrade where Minister Granic is to meet the president of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats, Bela Tonkovic. Granic and his Yugoslav counterpart Milan Milutinovic are to hold talks at 11 am. The signing of the Agreement is to take place at noon. Granic will also meet Yugoslav Premier Radoje Kontic. It is still unknown whether Granic will meet Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic. Granic's visit is covered by some 30 Croatian reporters. Foreign correspondents in Belgrade and the Yugoslav public are also showing great interest in today's event. According to unofficial information, the harmonizing of some formulations in the text of the Agreement lasted until late last night, which is one of the reasons why Granic's visit had not been given great publicity in the state media.
