PULA, 20 Aug (Hina) - Tonight's session of the Pula City Council
elected Giancarlo Zupic to the post of new city mayor. The session,
attended by 15 representatives of the Istrian Democratic Alliance
(IDS) and five opposition and independent representatives as well
as the Istria County Assembly president Damir Kajin and IDS
president and parliamentary representative Ivan Jakovcic, elected
the new city leadership. Boris Suran was elected new president of
the City Council. Armando Debeljuh was elected new deputy mayor
while Aldo Sikira remained on the post of second deputy mayor.
