ZAGREB, Aug 20 (Hina) - Croatian Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radic on Tuesday held a news conference during which he informed reporters that the reconstruction of 464 houses in six villages liberated in the military
operation "Maslenica" had been completed. The houses would be furnished by the end of the week and some 2,200 returnees would be able to move into them, he said. Radic also spoke about the implementation of the Law on areas of special government care.

Minister Jure Radic on Tuesday held a news conference during which
he informed reporters that the reconstruction of 464 houses in six
villages liberated in the military operation "Maslenica" had been
completed.
The houses would be furnished by the end of the week and some
2,200 returnees would be able to move into them, he said.
Radic also spoke about the implementation of the Law on areas

Returnees would be given houses or apartments in their new
place of residence and in some cases, land, Radic said.
They would also have other benefits, for example tax and
customs concessions and wages which would be 50% higher than in
other parts of Croatia, he said.
If the returnees remained in the new places of residence for
ten years the allocated property would become their own property.
If the previous owner who had fled Croatia after the military
operation "Storm" returned, the government was to secure new
accommodation for the returnee, Radic said.
He informed that around 1,500 Croats from Kosovo are soon to
move into houses in Kistanje, not far from Knin.
