VITEZ, Aug 4 (Hina) - Director of the Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) regional centre in Mostar, Wolfgang
Odendahl, was on Sunday present at the protest staged by Bosnian
Croats in Vitez. #L#
The protest had been very well organized, democratic and
peaceful and oriented towards a peaceful solution to problems in
central Bosnia and the whole country, Odendahl said, adding that
the lack of aggressiveness was a good sign.
The main requests of Bosnian Croats at the protest was that a
part of the electoral regulations be changed.
Odendahl said that such a request was impossible now that the
voters have been registered, and that the electoral regulations
would not change, despite such a mass protest.
He added that he understood that the Croat residents feared
that exiled Moslems could come and vote in municipalities where
Croats were in majority, but stressed that their fear was without
foundation.
