SARAJEVO, 25 July (Hina) - The Mission of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia-Herzegovina
would provide financial support for pre-election activities of
political parties which are to participate in the September
elections, as well as for activities of local election commissions.
OSCE spokesperson Joanna Van Vliet stated in Sarajevo today
that independent candidates would receive DEM 11,000, political
parties would be given DEM 22,000, while coalitions could count on
DEM 600,000.
The OSCE would set aside DEM 750,000 for local election
commissions. The money, Van Vliet said, was intended for salaries
of the employed, office stationery and office equipment.
