Finance Minister Bozo Prka announced that a document on the
swap of a part of Croatia's debt to the London Club for a new issue
of government bonds is to be signed on July 31.
"This will end the last of our financial links to former
Yugoslavia," Prka said.
Croatia owes the London Club (a syndicate of commercial banks)
US$ 1.46 billion.
The Government accordingly passed a bill providing for a new
issue of government bonds to cover the first installment of the
debt.
