The publicizing of the election results depended on a decision
of the EU Administration ombudsman, Constantin Zepos, concerning
some irregularities at the polling station in Bonn, where it was
established that the number of ballots was higher than the number
of voters (there were 26 ballots more).
Casado also said he believed that the present mandate of the
EU Administration in Mostar, which expires at 00:00 on 22 July this
year, would be extended.
Casado will personally ask for the extension and change of the
mandate at a meeting of the EU Ministerial Council which is to take
place on 15 July in Brussels. The purpose of the new EU mission in
Mostar would be to provide assistance to the newly-elected bodies
of authority as well as to help in the economic revival of the
city.
