CROATIAN BISHOPS' CONFERENCE CONCLUDES THREE-DAY SESSION

ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Bishops' Conference concluded a three-day plenary session in Zagreb on Thursday. The meeting focused on pastoral activities of the Catholic clergy and new challenges to the Church in Croatia after the end of war in the region, Zadar Archbishop Ivan Prenda told the Catholic news agency IKA. The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, was re- elected president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference. Prenda said that it was possible that Croatia and the Holy See would soon sign an agreement which would regulate important issues in relations between the Chruch and the State. He expressed confidence that after signing the agreement with the Catholic Church, the largest religious community in the country, Croatia would also regulate in a similar way its relations with other religious communities.
