MOSTAR, June 14 (Hina) - The EU Administration of Mostar has been
receiving insulting letters from the authorities in eastern Mostar,
Deputy Administrator Klaus Metscher, told a press conference on
Friday. #
"One of these letters accused the EU Administration of being
inactive," he said.
Metscher also criticized eastern Mostar Mayor for demanding
from the EU Administration to enable make it possible for five
opposition parties, which missed the deadline, to take part in the
upcoming elections.
"Orucevic shouldn't be sending this type of letters", Metscher
said.
"The EU Administration can not issue binding recommendations
to the polling committee", stressed Metscher, adding that the
decision in this matter rested with the ombudsman at the EU
Administration.
Matscher warned that the electoral rolls were inaccurate,
adding that the EU Administration had asked the Sarajevo Bureau of
Statistic to forward accurate rolls.
"The current difficulties are not jeopardizing the elections,"
Metscher added.
Mostar refugees in Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and Norway
will be able to vote in the government or Parliament offices of
these countries.
