Deputy head of the State Administration, Nenad Mikulic, said
that the consumption of substances which damage the ozone layer -
TOOO (CFC, solutions, methyl-bromide, aerosol, foam, etc.) in
Croatia in 1995 was 40 per cent less than in 1986. This decrease in
consumption was not only the result of a planned decrease of TOOO
consumption, but was in part also the result of a decrease in
industry production.
The State Administration for the Protection of the Environment
plans to fully terminate the consumption of TOOO (excluding CFC for
air-conditioning) in Croatia by the year 2005.
