According to Kornblum, the U.S. delegation had come to the
region because of several problems, the most important one being
the political situation in Republika Srpska. The visit was also
part of a regular inspection into the implementation of the Dayton
peace agreement.
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic said that Mr Kornblum
informed President Tudjman about 'all moves that the U.S.
government is undertaking' in order to solve the situation in
Republika Srpska.
Kornblum stressed Croatia's cooperation in the process of the
implementation of the Dayton peace agreement.
'As far as eastern Slavonia is concerned, our joint conclusion
is that the process is proceeding well and that it will be
completed successfully', Granic said.
According to the Croatian foreign minister, both sides agreed
that bilateral relations between the two countries were developing
well.
