SARAJEVO, May 22 (Hina) - EU Administrator of Mostar Ricardo Perez
Casado on Wednesday held talks with the President of the Presidency
of Bosnia-Herzegovina Alija Izetbegovic about elections in Mostar.
Present at the meeting was also the Italian Ambassador to
Bosnia, Vittorio Penerola, as representative of the country which
is presiding over the European Union.
The Sarajevo radio emitted news that Izetbegovic and Casado
had talked about the request of Moslem parties to postpone the
Mostar elections, but a statement from Izetbegovic's Office said
that the talks had focused only on the organization of the
elections scheduled for May 31.
After the talks, Casado told reporters that the talks had been
very constructive, confirming that they had mostly focused on the
elections.
He announced that he would discuss the same issue with the
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman in Zagreb on Thursday.
