"The agreement on military cooperation is to be signed in Kiev
in time. However, military cooperation between Croatia and Ukraine
is to be realized within the framework of international
conventions," Susak said after the signing.
Susak thanked Ukraine for its contribution to the peace in the
region by sending their soldiers as part of UNPROFOR, IFOR and
UNTAES, whom he commended on taking control over the oil well in
Djeletovci in the Croatian Danubian area.
Although peace in Croatia had not yet been established in
full, it was time to begin developing economic cooperation between
the two countries, Smarov said.
Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa is also to receive
Smarov after which the Ukrainian delegation is to travel to Vukovar
to visit the Ukrainian troops.
Smarov is to travel to Sarajevo after his visit to Croatia.
