ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Saturday extended his best wishes to Pope John Paul II on his
76th birthday and the 50th anniversary of his priesthood, the
President's Office said in a statement.
"On the occasion of your birthday and the 50th anniversary
of your priesthood, recalling your pastoral visit to Croatia
which left an indelible trace on the memory of the Croatian
people, please receive my most heartfelt personal greetings and
wishes for a long life and good health and for continuation of
your dedicated work to the benefit of the Catholic Church and the
entire world," the President said in his message.
