ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - The Croatian House of Representatives on
Friday adopted the Report on the State of Croatian Agriculture.
The report includes information on arable land, agricultural
production, incentives and compensation, rates policy and
government measures for the implementation of agricultural policy
in last and early this year.
A Report on Care for Croatian Soldiers and war Victims in 1995
acquainted the representatives with the government's Programme for
the Employment of Demobilized Croatian Soldiers.
The Lower House entrusted the government with revising the
status of Croatian soldiers and war invalids and suggested that the
Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development give precedence to
soldiers and war victims during credit allocation.
A Bill on an Amendment to the State Tribunal Act, legislated
by Croatian Social Liberal Party representative Vladimir Primorac,
was rejected in a first reading by a majority of vote.
Parliament President Vlatko Pavletic said that a group of
Croatian Democratic Union representatives demanded a discussion of
emergency measures proposals for the improvement of the position of
pensioners and socially endangered people. Pavletic told
representatives that he would demand government material on which
the above mentioned issues would be discussed.
The Lower House today terminated a session begun on May 8.
