ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - Croatian prime minister Zlatko Matesa met
in Zagreb on Wednesday with the secretary general of the
International Employers' Organization, Kostas Kapartis.
We expressed an interest in the Croatian Employers'
Association assuming obligations which employers' organizations in
other market-oriented countries usually have, Matesa said after the
talks.
Kapartis expressed satisfaction with progress the Croatian
government had made in negotiations between employers, employees
and the state, adding that other post-Communist countries had taken
much more time to finalize similar negotiations.
The Croatian Employers' Association is particularly interested
in cooperation with the International Employers' Organization, of
which it is member, its president Ivica Todoric said.
Todoric said that Kapartis was particularly interested in
Croatian legislation, the privatization process and the functioning
of the market.
