ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - The Club of the Istrian Democratic Party
(IDS) representatives on Friday forwarded a letter to Croatian
Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa in which it suggested that the
government schedule another advisory referendum. #L#
At its last session, the government had scheduled a number of
advisory referendums on changing the territory of some
municipalities, towns and counties, the letter said, expressing
surprise that "the government has not scheduled an advisory
referendum which would test the will of citizens of Opatija and the
Moscenicka Draga, Lovran, Matulj, Cres and Losinj municipalities.
By the referendum, the citizens of these local self-government
units would decide whether they wanted to be a part of the Primorje
County or of the Istra County," the letter said.
