The Dutch delegation was received by the Ministry's Secretary
Mijo Petek and Minister Zeljko Luzavac's assistants for maritime,
road and railway traffic, civil aviation and telecommunications.
The Dutch Minister was accompanied by 35 representatives of
various Dutch companies, most of which are interested in the
reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure, the building of
modern roads, railways and ports, mainly those for integral
transport in Croatia.
Van Dok Van Weele said she was glad that the Netherlands had
provided considerable financial help for Croatia through the active
participation of the Dutch Trust Fund via the World Bank. This
included the reconstruction of a bulk cargo terminal in the Ploce
harbour, southern Croatia, and the purchase of harbour
installations for all Croatian ports.
The Croatian Ministry's high officials outlined their plans
for the development of the infrastructure, for which there are
integral project plans which can be realized in part in a short
time with the help of foreign credits.
