Both officials stressed the need for the establishment of
overall cooperation between the two countries as well as the role
of the Croat community in Uruguay which is an important factor in
the establishment of closer ties between Croatia and Uruguay.
It has been agreed that the two states should start
negotiations on the signing of bilateral agreements in the areas of
culture, trade and scientific and technological cooperation. It has
also been agreed that the two countries would sign an agreement on
the revocation of visas on 31 May this year.
