The opening of the Zagreb-Belgrade highway could take place
very soon, on May 7 or 8, and the opening of the railway line would
follow shortly after that, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica
Kostovic said, adding that Croatian and Yugoslav foreign ministers
should meet at the end of this month.
The joint training of Croatian and Serbian police officers for
the Croatian Danubian area at the international police academy in
Budapest was judged a positive effort. However, minor problems
arose while fulfilling obligations of the Temporary Administration
Office due to changes in the local Serbs negotiating team, the
deputy head of the Office, Mirko Tankosic, said. An official letter
would be sent to the Transitional Administration demanding that
expert negotiators be not changed, Tankosic concluded.
