Participating at the meeting on the Bosnian Federation,
organized by the German Foreign Ministry on April 25 in Petersberg,
were the federal partners - Bosnian Croats and Moslems, Croatian
representatives, representatives of international organizations
active in Bosnia and representatives of the World Bank.
"We know that the Federation is not perfect, but the important
thing is that both Croat and Moslem representatives once again
confirmed their commitment to it, more than it seems at times,"
Murphy said.
The last talks at the highest level had confirmed that the
Federation had a future despite obstacles, Murphy said.
He stressed that Carl Bildt's Office holds very important a
statement concerning the protection of human rights, and by which
both sides confirmed their loyalty to the idea of multiethniticity,
despite problems with Herzeg-Bosnia. However, the most important
had been the speech on the organization of the federal police,
Murphy said.
