SARAJEVO, April 11 (Hina) - The Bosnian Serbs' refusal to take part
in a joint delegation together with representatives of the Republic
of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Bosnian Federation at the next
donors' conference in Brussels would not jeopardize the conference,
Colum Murphy, spokesperson for international peace coordinator Carl
Bildt's Office, said in Sarajevo on Thursday. "Republika Srpska has
execluded itself from the conference on the reconstruction of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, and that is no longer a concern of the
international community", Murphy said. #L#
Murphy reiterated that the president of the Government of the
Serbian entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rajko Kasagic, last Wednesday
sent a letter to Bildt saying that Serbs "cannot take part in a
delegation representing a non-existent structure".
It was the Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic who made this
decision, Murphy estimated, adding that "ordinary people in the
Serbian entity would suffer most" because of it. The decision not
to participate in the conference did not help the peace mission,
Murphy said.
