SKOPJE, Apr 19 (Hina) - Representatives of Macedonia, Croatia,
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia met in Skopje on Friday to discuss
further cooperation in the process of succession of the former
Yugoslavia. #L#
The meeting discussed preparations for impending meetings with
a EU representative in charge of succession issues, which are to be
held in Brussels.
Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina consider
that all states that emerged from former Yugoslavia have equal
rights to the assets of the former Federation. This view is in
accord with the findings of the Badinter commission and the law of
nations.
The Badinter Commission was established by the London
Conference to look into the legal aspects of the disintegration of
former Yugoslavia. The Commission found that the Yugoslav
Federation disintegrated, exonerating Croatia and Slovenia from the
guilt of secession.
