ZAGREB, 19 April (Hina) - Today's issue of 'VJESNIK' brings a
commentary by Nenad Ivankovic on the Final Bill on cooperation with
the Hague War Crimes Tribunal which was supported by the Parliament
House of Representatives at yesterday's session. The bill would not
create any mechanisms which would send Croats to The Hague prisons,
Ivankovic says.
'Blaskic Wins First Round' reads the headline of an article on
the trial of Major General Tihomir Blaskic. According to the
article, Blaskic has been granted better detention conditions.
'Are Serbs Returning To Banovina Illegally?' asks the headline
of an article on the return of Croatian Serbs who fled Croatia
during its two military actions in the summer 1995.
'VECERNJI LIST' brings an article on the visit of the
Malaysian Premier Mahathir Mohamad to Croatia. There is great
interest of Malaysian businesspeople in investments in Croatia, the
article says.
The paper also brings an interview with Ivan Grujic, head of
the Croatian Commission for missing and detained persons. The
interview is headlined 'Belgrade Cannot Escape Answer'. The Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia and Croatia had agreed to exchange all data
on detained, missing, abducted and killed persons, as well as to
release all prisoners, Major Grujic said.
