airport.

Brzozowski confirmed statements from the U.S. military
authorities that the U.S. aircraft which had crashed near the
Dubrovnik airport had not been carrying a 'black box'.
According to information gathered by reporters, almost all
victims' bodies had been transported from the accident site to the
Dubrovnik airport by helicopters by early Friday morning. The time
of departure from the airport has not been officially announced.
Brzozowski thanked the Croatian Investigations Commission, the
Croatian Army and police, and IFOR troops for outstanding
cooperation.
Members of a special U.S. expert investigation commission for
investigating the cause of the accident are constantly present at
the site.
The U.S. aircraft, a military version of the "Boeing 737" on
Wednesday, April 3, at 14.55 hours crashed into the Strazisce hill,
701 metres high, half a kilometre east of the Velji Do village,
near the Dubrovnik airport.
