The delegation of the Chambers of Crafts informed Premier
Matesa about problems in fishery and agriculture, adding that those
problems should be solved through institutions of the system and
not through public demonstrations, the statement said.
The delegation proposed that the Government enhance the
allowance for fuel for fishing boats; equalize fees for licenses
given by the counties for the breeding of fish and shellfish; and
that the breeders of shellfish in those counties which were
affected by the war be excluded from paying those fees.
It was proposed that a department of fishery be formed within
the Agriculture Ministry with the aim of a speedy solution of this
problem.
The delegation reiterated the problems relating to the
agriculture, which include the protection of domestic food
producers and effective control of the import of agricultural
products.
