Tuesday received the outgoing Croatian Ambassador extraordinary and
plenipotentiary to Turkey, Hijadet Biscevic, a statement from the

Biscevic conveyed to Demirel greetings from Croatian President
Franjo Tudjman, as well as his thanks for a constant support to
strengthening peace in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Demirel stressed that the Bosnian Federation project was a
necessary compromise with no alternative.
Speaking about future relations in the region, Demirel
stressed the importance of Croatia as an irreplaceable factor in
peace and stability, which is why Turkey would continue to develop
and strengthen bilateral relations and fully support Croatia's
efforts to become a member of all international institutions.
