ZUPANJA, March 24 (Hina) - IFOR officials today said that the logistic base 'Harmon', located near Zupanja, would no longer exist after the opening of the reconstructed Sava bridge between Gunja and Brcko.

logistic base 'Harmon', located near Zupanja, would no longer exist
after the opening of the reconstructed Sava bridge between Gunja
and Brcko. #L#
It was planned that some 2000 IFOR soldiers, who are to stay
in the area by the end of the year, be accommodated in 'Harmon'.
However, after the relocation of IFOR troops from Zupanja to
Slavonski Brod, only 700 U.S. soldiers were left in the base with
the task to secure pontoon bridges on the Sava between Zupanja and
Orasje.
Reconstruction works on the Sava bridge between Gunja and
Brcko were completed last week and pontoon bridges near Zupanja
will soon be removed. The logistic base 'Harmon' will therefore be
closed by mid June at the latest.
