MOSTAR, March 5 (Hina) - The special envoy of the European Union, Julian Garcia Vargas, on Tuesday told reporters that he had come to Mostar to discuss the joint implementation of the Dayton peace accords with representatives of the
Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina. He had also come to discuss with the EU Administration representatives and municipal leadership ways in which the forthcoming elections in Mostar should be carried out, Vargas said.
MOSTAR, March 5 (Hina) - The special envoy of the European Union,
Julian Garcia Vargas, on Tuesday told reporters that he had come
to Mostar to discuss the joint implementation of the Dayton peace
accords with representatives of the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina. He had also come to discuss with the EU
Administration representatives and municipal leadership ways in
which the forthcoming elections in Mostar should be carried out,

Asked who was to succeed the present Administrator of Mostar
Hans Koschnick, Vargas said that the answer would be known in a
few weeks. He added that it was more important to ensure that
elections in Mostar were well organized and that they resulted in
democratic administration of the city.
Vargas also met for talks with the Italian Foreign Ministry
coordinator for Mostar, Alfred Matacott, and the President of the
Bosnian Federation, Kresimir Zubak.
Vargas and Matacott participated in the session of the EU
Administration Advisory Council for Mostar which was chaired by
Hans Koschnick. The two also held talks with the head of the
Western European Police, Pieter Lambrechts.
