The paper carries a comment piece saying that "(Serbian
President Slobodan) Milosevic tries to convince the world community
that he 'really cannot' get rid of (Bosnian Serb leader Radovan)
Karadzic and (his military commander, General Ratko) Mladic before
the scheduled Bosnian election in September.
"In order to preserve the image of cooperativeness, and at the
same time to avoid specific responses regarding the recognition of
Croatia, once his foreign minister (Milan) Milutinovic arrives in
Zagreb, Milosevic gets ready to recognize Macedonia," the comment
piece says.
The paper carries third part of story on international
recognition of Croatia, written by Hassan Suljak -- German
correspondent of the Cairo's daily Al Akhram.
The paper devoted its central pages to the problem of finding
jobs for demobilized Croatian army troops.
Another Zagreb-based daily of Vecernji List carries a comment
piece about Serb intellectuals in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and their
engagement on Karadzic's side, under headline "Collective Madness".
The paper carries an interview Jo Asvall, director of the
European Office of the World Health Organization.
