OSIJEK, Feb 20 (Hina) - An elderly man was on Tuesday released from a prison in occupied Beli Manastir (eastern Croatia), said a statement from the Government office for the temporary administration for establishing Croatian
authorities in eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem.

The man, pensioner Jozo Tadijan had been apprehended by the
Serb milicia on 9 May last year.
Tadijan was met at a UN checkpoint by a representative of the
Government sub-commission for the exchange of prisoners of war. He
was then transported to a transitional point in Bilje by workers of
the UN Civilian Police from Beli Manastir.
