ROME, Feb 18 (Hina) - Attending the Rome conference on implementation of Bosnian peace agreement the presidents of Croatia and Serbia Franjo Tudjman and Slobodan Milosevic agreed to advance the process of normalizing ties between the
two countries.

Following is the text of their common statement which followed
the closing of the Rome talks Sunday afternoon:
"The President of the Republic of Croatia Franjo Tudjman and
the President of the Republic of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic, who
have met in Rome during the implementation conference on Bosnia-
Herzegovina, agree to step-up the process of normalization of
relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Republic
of Yugoslavia.
"They share a common view that the normalization of relations
is in the interests of both states, as well as in the interest of
an overall regulation of relations between the Croatian and Serbian
people, securing peace and stability in the region."
