SARAJEVO, Feb 18 (Hina) - IFOR troops have gained access to two
Bosnian Serb army depots to inspect the weapons stored there, IFOR
spokesman Marc Rayner told a press conference in Sarajevo on
Sunday.
The two depots are located at Han Pijesak and Han Kram, east
of Sarajevo, and are outside the zone of separation, Rayner added.
The NATO-led peace Implementation Force decided to take more
resolute steps after it was repeatedly denied access to the
Serb-controlled storage areas.
IFOR troops found 21 T-55 tanks, 14 T-34 tanks, four armoured
vehicles with SA-6 anti-aircraft missiles and 13 armoured personnel
carriers.
The Serbs did not register the weapons with NATO although the
weapons were stored 10 km from the line of separation, which is in
violation of the Dayton peace accords.
There is an underground bunker complex at Han Pijesak which is
believed to be the headquarters of Bosnian Serb army commander
Ratko Mladic.
