Minister Susak expressed satisfaction with the US role in the
process of reintegration of eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western
Srijem, Minister Susak said after the meeting at the State
Department.
The meeting also discussed the situation in Mostar.
The United States was of the view that the decision of
Mostar's EU Administrator, Hans Koschnik, should be accepted since
both sides had agreed with arbitration in Dayton, Susak said.
"The Croatian side has accepted arbitration on that issue, in
the same spirit as it was proposed in Dayton," he said.
Susak denied that Croatian army officers were active in
Bosnia-Herzegovina after the deadline for the pull-out of foreign
troops.
