A spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross
(ICRC) in Sarajevo, Anne Sophie-Bonefeld told Hina that a visit to
the Tuzla prison had been permitted at the end of last week,
although applications had been submitted since last September.
Bonefeld confirmed that 88 detainees were still being held in the
Tuzla prison, but warned that the Bosnian Government was holding 14
more - five in Gorazde and nine in other parts of the country.
Twenty-six POWs are still being held in Bosnian Serb prisons,
mostly in the area Doboj and northeastern Bosnia.
According to Bonefeld, 21 detainees should be liberated
immediately, while Serb authorities said that five others were
under investigation.
Bonefeld said that the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) was
expected to release one remaining prisoner of war.
