General Walker described the cooperation between IFOR and HVO
as excellent, adding that his talks with General Budimir focused on
tactical and strategic issues which were important to both sides.
Commenting on an incident which happened two days ago when the
Bosnian army forces from the Mostar area entered the separation
zone, Walker said he believed that the incident did not represent
intentional violation of the Dayton Peace Accord. That was why NATO
aircraft had not intervened, Walker said, warning that in case a
conflict occured, NATO aircraft would be used.
General Budimir said that the HVO would respect all provisions
of the Dayton Peace Accord.
