MOSTAR, Jan 26 (Hina) - European Union administrator in Mostar
accepted the offer by the Croatian government to send its police
force to the city.
EU administrator Hans Koschnick forwarded on Friday a letter
to Bosnian Federation President Kresimir Zubak in which he said he
accepted the Croatian government offer, Koschnick's deputy Klaus
Metcher told a news conference on Friday. #L#
Metcher said that the question of boundaries between the
future six municipalities in the city was the most delicate one and
the main cause of the row between two sides.
He described the views of Croat and Bosniac side as so distant
from each other, that no compromise seemed viable. Final decision
was to be made by Koschnick himself, after his return from
Brussels, where he would attend the session of the EU Ministerial
Council. He was due to return on Monday.
But whatever he said, Metcher added, it was most likely that
both sides would be discontent, since their views were
unbridgeable.
Internationally appointed arbitrator for the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Roberts Owen, delegated the arbitration to
Koschnick.
