OSIJEK, Jan 26 (Hina) - Brig. Gen. Dieter Schott of NATO's peace
Implementation Force and the Osijek-based Croatian army commander,
Col. Gen. Duro Decak, met today in Osijek to discuss the deployment
of IFOR's logistic units in Slavonia.
Brig. Gen. Schott is in charge of cooperation and liaison with
Croatian army.
"We have informed the Croatian generals about the arrival of
the Nordic brigade. We also discussed ways to ensure its speedy
deployment so as not to disturb civilians and the normal life in
the region," Gen. Scott said after the meeting.
He said the cooperation between IFOR and the Croatian army was
good.
"The Nordic brigade will arrive soon and the Croatian army
will do everything to facilitate IFOR's deployment," Decak's
deputy, Maj. Gen. Milivoj Petkovic, said.
