CROATIAN CIVIC HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE COMMENDEED

( Editorial: --> 9906 ) ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin sent a personal letter to the chairman of the Croatian Civic Committee for Human Rights, Zoran Pusic, informing him of a commendation bestowed onto the Committee by a jury of the National Advisory Commission for Human Rights. Presenting the "Freedom-Equality-Brotherhood" award to the Civic Committee for Human Rights, a special commendation had been given to the project of providing legal and humanitarian help in the Croatian regions of Kordun and Banija, the letter said. Jospin expressed encouragement to the realisation of the project which he said spoke about the Committee's involvement in the promotion of human rights. (hina) lm 201519 MET dec 97
