SARAJEVO, Dec 15 (Hina) - The holding of sessions of the Parliament
of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which was expected to finally adopt laws on
citizenship and travel documents on Monday, has again been brought
into question.
After a one-hour wait for today's sitting to begin, House of
Representatives deputy chairman Halid Genjac told reporters how
Serb MPs sent a message that they would take part in the work of
parliament and adopt the proposed laws.
But that would occur only on condition that parliament at the same
time formally approve an agreement between the Serb member of the
Bosnian Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik and Yugoslav Foreign Minister
Milan Milutinovic about dual citizenship for Bosnian Serbs, signed
on 13 November in Belgrade.
Genjac accused this behaviour as going back on earlier attained
agreements as well as the conclusions of last week's Peace
Implementation Council conference in Bonn, stressing that these
types of ultimatums could not be agreed to.
According to Genjac, this stance was supported by the Office of the
High Representative for the implementation of the Dayton
agreement.
