PULA MAYOR GIVES RECEPTION FOR REPRESENTATIVES OF MINORITIES

( Editorial: --> 8493 ) PULA, 15 Dec (Hina) - Pula Mayor Giancarlo Zupic on Monday organised a Christmas and New Year reception for representatives of national minorities and ethnic communities. Zupic stressed satisfaction with the fact that 'even during the most difficult times Pula knew how to preserve good relations, tolerance and mutual respect'. Thanks to that tolerance, Pula and Istria were often said to be examples of functioning of regions in Croatia, Zupic said. The reception was attended by representatives of Italians, Macedonians, Hungarians, Serbs, Gypsies and Albanians. (hina) rm 151513 MET dec 97
