ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - Vlado Gotovac on Saturday left the Croatian
Social Liberal Party (HSLS) which he had headed until the seventh
convention of last weekend.
Thirteen other members of the party's high council left the party,
while five handed in their resignation to membership at the
council.
Yesterday, Gotovac announced the establishment of a new liberal
party.
Drazen Budisa was today officially proclaimed new president of the
HSLS. The high council today agreed with yesterday's conclusion of
a statutory commission on the indisputability of Budisa's election
as new president of the party. Budisa was elected new president at
the party's seventh convention.
