ZAGREB, Nov 17 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vlatko Pavletic
held a news conference on Monday to announce that the Parliament
would hold a session each week until 12 December.
Presenting the agenda of the 23 session of the House of
Representatives, due to begin on 19 November, Pavletic said that
the lower house would discuss a report on the work of the commission
for detainees and missing people on Wednesday, and on Thursday it
would consider President Franjo Tudjman's proposals for amendments
to the Constitution.
Pavletic told reporters that the House of Representatives would
begin discussing a 1998 draft budget the following week.
He added that Italian President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro would visit
Croatia in mid-December. President Scalfaro is expected to address
the Croatian Parliament on 17 December at an extraordinary session
of both houses.
