( Editorial: --> 3178 ) ZAGREB, 23 Nov (Hina) - A total of 10,836 citizens of Bosnia- Herzegovina cast their votes in absence in the elections for the Bosnian Serb parliament on Saturday and Sunday. The voters cast their ballots at 77 polling stations throughout Croatia, said a statement from the Government Office for Displaced Persons and Refugees. The voting procedure could not be held on the island of Vis because OSCE supervisors and election material could not reach the island due to bad weather conditions. The polling station on Vis will be opened tomorrow. All other polling stations were closed at 4 pm today. The turnout was poor at all polling stations in Croatia. Out of a total of 38,750 registered voters from municipalities in Republika Srpska, 27.96% participated in the elections. The highest turnout was registered in Slavonski Brod County (30.5%), in Zagreb (2,206 voters) and in the area of Sisak (1,377 voters). The elections were implemented without any difficulties. The election procedure was controlled by OSCE supervisors and 87 international OSCE monitors. (hina) rm 232059 MET nov 97
