WASHINGTON, Nov 19 (Hina) - The newly-appointed US Ambassador to
Croatia, William Dale Montgomery, visited the Croatian Embassy in
Washington before assuming his post in Zagreb at the beginning of
next year, the Croatian Embassy said in a statement Wednesday.
The Senate confirmed Montgomery as the new Ambassador to Croatia
ten days ago, and he will swear an oath before the US State Secretary
on 25 November.
During talks with the Croatian Ambassador, Miomir Zuzul,
Montgomery stressed the interest of the United States in Croatia
and that part of Europe.
The two ambassadors agreed that they would work on maintaining as
good bilateral relations as possible on the political, economic,
cultural and other scenes.
