WASHINGTON, Oct 31 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador to the United
States, Miomir Zuzul, on Thursday evening held a working dinner for
five members of the Congress and their associates at the National
Security Causus.
The UNTAES mission in Croatia, which should end on 15 January next
year represented a unique example of the success of peace
operations, which was the credit of Croatia, the United States and
international community, Zuzul said.
He stressed US's leading role in the world, especially in Europe, as
well as the need for American units to remain in Bosnia-Herzegovina
as of strategic interest for securing peace.
The participants supported the continuation of America's presence
in Bosnia after the summer of 1998.
Zuzul pointed out the serious problem of war criminals Milan
Martic, Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic. The solution of this
problem was crucial for the further development of the peace
process, Zuzul said.
