( Editorial: --> 9706 ) ZAGREB, Nov 10 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Monday received the chief of the European Union monitor mission, Dutch Ambassador Daan W. Everts. Granic informed Ambassador Everts of the current situation in the process of the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube river area. He told him that the UN Transitional Administrator of that eastern Croatian region, William Walker, would send a report to the UN Secretary-General in mid-November. At the talks it was said that it was expected from the UNTAES mandate in the Danube region to be successfully completed by 15 January 1998. The Dutch diplomat expressed satisfaction with steps taken by Croatian authorities in recent months aimed at the quick and successful implementation of the peaceful reintegration. He added that such steps were encouraging and described them as a significant improvement of the situation on the ground.
